Healty eating nourishes the body, gives us energy, and improves our physical and mental health. It is especially important for young people to meet their nutritional needs.
We are looking for volunteers with a passion for food and a flair for cooking to prepare meals at Phoenix Youth Shelter and Phoenix House. You don't need to have any professional cooking experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a home chef. We provide everything that you will need even the menu. Join our youth and staff to savor your culinary masterpiece and great conservation afterwards!
This is a great group volunteer activity too.
We ask for a 6-month commitment and we will work with you to find a shift that fits your schedule.
Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age.
Due to the sensitive nature of our work with youth, this position is dependent on a satisfactory criminal record check including a vulnerable sector search and a child abuse register check. Please note that having a record on file does not automatically exclude eligibility for volunteering. We welcome the opportunity to have a confidential discussion if this requirement is a concern for you when considering applying.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required.
